Yuankun Xu

Biography

I'm a Staff Scientist at Caltech based in the Seismological Laboratory. Prior to joining Caltech, I worked at UC Berkeley as a postdoc from 2022 to 2025, following the completion of my PhD in 2021 at the Southern Methodist University.

Research Interests

I use an integrated tool set of remote sensing and geodesy, field instrumentation, and numerical modeling to better understand the physics and dynamics of geohazards, including landslides, debris flows, fault slip, and other surface processes.
